> Personal site of Shawn Hack — software engineer, futurist, and transhumanist writing about AI, the Singularity, longevity escape velocity, and the transition from human to posthuman. Tracks AGI timelines, AI model releases, and exponential growth in compute, genome sequencing, and energy.

Shawn is a retired software engineer (18 years at SSA, CS degree from UMBC). The site is a long-running thesis project: building durable infrastructure for a longer life, not for exit. Content is original analysis, not aggregated news.
